Wick Trimming Tip

Your candle flame is too high and is flickering more than usual.

It is very important that you keep your candle wick trimmed to about 1/4". It is well worth the moment it takes to do this. Trimming just before lighting is the best practice, since the wick will be stiff and easy to cut with scissors or a wick trimmer tool.

Keeping your candle wick trimmed will not only help to avoid spillover, it will greatly improve the life of your candle.

 Spilled Wax Cleanup Tip

You just noticed your candle has dripped wax on your table, carpet or other surface.

Stop: resist the urge to wipe it up as you might a liquid spill. Instead, wait until the wax is completely hardened. The longer you wait, and the colder the spilled wax is, the better your chances of removing the wax completely. Then, you can remove the wax easily; usually in one piece. If it is on a porous surface, you may still have to scrape the surface or even clip some fibers.

By waiting until the wax is hardened, you will be much more successful with cleanup.
